You can also return your containers via our Home\/Business Collection Service with ReCollect.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/returnandearn.org.au\/map\">Click here for location map<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/returnit.com.au\/act\/recollect\/\">Click here for home collection\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I need to separate containers by material?<br \/><\/strong>No, our machines will sort the containers based on materials for you.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can containers be crushed?<\/strong><br \/>We prefer containers not to be crushed, as this helps with fast and accurate counting. However, if your containers are slightly damaged, that&#8217;s okay if the\u00a0barcode and refund mark are still visible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I keep the lids on?<\/strong><br \/>We do not accept lids at our depots. They can be returned at other recycling facilities, however. We suggest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lids4kids.org.au\/\"><em><strong>Lids4Kids!<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why are some containers not eligible?<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/returnandearn.org.au\/what-you-can-return\"><em>Eligibility<\/em><\/a><\/strong> is determined by NSW legislation. Refunds apply to drink containers typically consumed away from home. The refund represents the deposit you paid at purchase.<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How is Return-It different from kerbside recycling?<\/strong><br \/>Return-It lets you reclaim the 10c deposit on eligible containers, while kerbside recycling doesn&#8217;t track individual refunds. Return-It complements kerbside recycling by reducing litter and encouraging recycling outside the home.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Know Before You Go<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>What do I need to know before I go?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The refund points will only accept eligible items included in the scheme. To check what&#8217;s included, click on the <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/returnandearn.org.au\/what-you-can-return\">eligible containers page<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Check each individual locations operational hours on the <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/returnandearn.org.au\/map\">return point page<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Containers do not need to be washed, just completely empty<\/li>\n<li>Refund points will not accept rubbish<\/li>\n<li>Do not crush your containers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Refunds<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>How do I get my refund?<br \/><\/strong>You can choose how you receive your refund:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instant Cash &#8211; At Cash-back Depots<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Payment &#8211; Via Return and Earn App<\/li>\n<li>Donation to Charity &#8211; Via Return and Earn App<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How long does it take to receive my refund?<br \/><\/strong>It can take up to 10 business days for your refund to appear in your nominated account or PayPal. However, most payments are processed within 48 hours.
