However, if your containers are slightly damaged, that&#8217;s okay if the\u00a0barcode and refund mark are still visible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I keep the lids on?<\/strong><br \/>Yes &#8211; we accept containers with lids on as these get recycled too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why are some containers not eligible?<br \/><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.returnit.com.au\/wa\/eligible-containers\/\">Eligibility<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is determined by Queensland legislation. Refunds apply to drink containers typically consumed away from home. The refund represents the deposit you paid at purchase.<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How is Return-It different from kerbside recycling?<\/strong><br \/>Return-It lets you reclaim the 10c deposit on eligible containers, while kerbside recycling doesn&#8217;t track individual refunds. Return-It complements kerbside recycling by reducing litter and encouraging recycling outside the home.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Know before you go<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>What do I need to know before I go?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The refund points will only accept eligible items included in the scheme. <em><strong>Click<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.returnit.com.au\/wa\/eligible-containers\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a> <\/em>to check what&#8217;s included<\/li>\n<li>Check each individual locations operational hours on the<em> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.returnit.com.au\/wa\/locations\/\">locations page<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Containers do not need to be washed, just completely empty<\/li>\n<li>Refund points will not accept rubbish<\/li>\n<li>Depots do not get full<\/li>\n<li>Do not crush your containers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Fundraising<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<p>Organisations can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/member.containersforchange.com.au\/?scheme=wa\"><strong><em>register<\/em><\/strong><\/a> with Containers for Change to receive a unique member number attached to the organisation&#8217;s bank account. Anyone in Western Australia can donate their containers to the organisation by quoting that number when returning their containers to a refund point.<\/p>\n<p>Organisations can promote their member number to their community network to encourage donations, or perhaps collect containers at events they host or run a container collection drive.<\/p>\n<p>You can sign your organisation up for an account<em><strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/member.containersforchange.com.au\/?scheme=wa\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Refunds<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<p><strong>How do I get my refund?<br \/><\/strong>You can choose how you receive your refund:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instant Cash &#8211; At Depots<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Payment &#8211; Via your member number<\/li>\n<li>Donation to Charity &#8211; Select your charity via the app or input their unique member number<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How long does it take to receive my refund?<br \/><\/strong>It can take up to 10 business days for your refund to appear in your nominated account or PayPal. However, most payments are processed within 48 hours. You can check the refund history page of the app to see the status of your refund.<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I set up a member number?<\/strong><strong><br \/><\/strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/member.containersforchange.com.au\/\"><strong>Sign up Here: <\/strong><\/a><\/em>You can get a member number by signing up through the app or by registering online. Once you create an account, your member number will be issued automatically.<\/p>\n<article dir=\"auto\" tabindex=\"-1\" data-turn-id=\"request-WEB:941b7197-ea60-4db2-b4b0-4e3e5b24ab74-2\" data-testid=\"conversation-turn-6\" data-scroll-anchor=\"true\" data-turn=\"assistant\">\nHaving a member number allows you to track your return history and progress in the app or by logging into your account. Please note that at some refund locations, using your member number may be the only available payment option, so we recommend checking the payment options at your chosen refund point before heading out.\n<\/article>\n<p><strong>Where can I collect a cash refund from?<\/strong><br \/>At Depots.
