An Over-the-Counter (OTC) return point is a simple and friendly way for community members to return their eligible drink containers. Staff at the site count the containers on the spot and issue a 10-cent refund per item either in cash, as a retail voucher, or as a donation to a local cause. Ideal for small businesses and community hubs, OTCs make participating in the Container Deposit Scheme quick, personal, and accessible.

A Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) is a self-service kiosk located at shopping centers or retail hubs where customers can return eligible drink containers for a 10-cent refund. Simply insert containers into the machine, and it will automatically scan, count, and issue a refund either as a retail voucher, digital transfer, or donation. Retail RVMs are a compact version that offer a convenient, contactless way to recycle while you shop.
