The Return-It Self-Serve is a Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) providing an efficient and effective recycling technology system that allows consumers to insert their eligible containers into a standalone unit. The RVM unit will be situated in areas that are most accessible to local users.
A more safer, effective
& precise way
Like Automated Teller Machines,
the Return-It Self-Serve will not only make for a more convenient, safer and effective user experience
but will precisely process the recycling exchange and transaction in real time.
Get your refund fast
Consumers need only follow
3 simple steps to have the transaction completed and refunds (10c per eligible container) paid into user accounts* on completion of the transaction.
* Users must ensure they have a registered Return-It Express account with their contain deposit scheme operator.
How it works
As in most states across Australia, returning an eligible drink container to
a Return-It Self-Serve will provide a 10c refund per container under the relevant container deposit scheme. A Return-It Reverse Vending Machine situated in
a standalone locality makes recycling easy.
All you need to do is follow these 3 simple steps:
With your mobile, place your Return-It Express Account
QR Code over the scanner located at the front of the machine.
Insert your empty containers
into the machine.
When finished, take your
printed receipt which shows
your refund details.
Your refund will be in your Return-It Express account within 24 hours.
Do I need a Return-It Express Account before I can use the Return-It Self-Serve?
